Will ANYONE enter the contest? Oh, and DG? What'd you think of the information on Insert's Universe given in #40? Or #40, for that matter? Reject Universe #45 The Genesis Corporation was starting to get into the public eye. Eventually, Gunjab State Penitentiary contacted him. They wanted a jailhouse universe, pronto, to drain their prison space and use it on something else. Thus RU45 was born. It was an endless desert. It was worse than the death penalty-it is impossible to die in RU45, but there is also no food whatsoever, making constant starving and never dying. It is said that eventually, when the universe needs cleaning out, tigers will be placed in the universe several million miles, that actually CAN kill. Some even think that this has already been done, and that the prisoners simply have not run into them or vice verca yet. Any way, it is a hostile and deadly universe. Soon 'Nuff:Reject Universe #46

I'll write advertising blurbs if you want. I'm good at those. #45 is obviously a hellhole, though not the only hellhole, I'll admit. Makes me wonder just how many of those thirty crew members will be left by the time they open the third portal.

Which other ones are hellholes? Could you remind me please?
And it's a relief that the stupid clucking censor doesn't censor "hell".

#41 is the most recent one, and I think there was another in the twenties. And that evil one.

Oh yeah, Minkyland. And I just remembered that 44 could be considered one if you were male. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside, knowing that something I made has been called a hellhole. No. It's some sort of lotus-eater's world. At least that's what most of the scientist's who investigate the messages say. Reject Universe #47 Now, this MAY break the "no stock fantasy" rules, but- Infinite continents. Unlike other flat infinite worlds, which are either all water or all land with a few pools, RU47 is like the world, with continents that take up around thirty percent of the space. Technology never developed here. In RU47, exploits in physics, called molecular perpetual motion, aka "magic", allow an element called Merlinium can create energy and control it with enough will power, effectively allowing spells and magic (Merlinium only works in RU47, other universes do not have the physics bug that makes it possible). There are five subspecies of human, three intelligent:Humans, Mermen, and Centaurs, the intelligents, and Harpies and Gorgons, the unintelligent. They can all interbreed. The race of the child depends on its gender. It will become the race of it's opposite gender parent. Like, if a female Mermaid and a male Centaur mated, a male child would be a Merman and a female child would be a Centauress. Intelligent genes are dominant-if a Human and a Gorgon mated, it would be intelligent even if it were a Gorgon, though this happens rarely as the three intelligent species consider the unitelligent ones to be complete animalistic garbage. Wildlife Dragons, unicorns, a large amount of mythical creatures. Some are more obscure. For instance, a species of lion that can suck in its prey from a quarter of a mile exists, as well as a wolf that's body is over ten miles long. Interestingly, Unicorns are not herbivores like horses but are in fact photosynthetic. They are also the base of the foodchain. Society Many social movements that occured in our world occured, but many did not. For instance, though the civil rights movement occured, the abolition did not, which means that black people can vote, have jobs, and attend public places freely, but are still slaves. On the other hand, though the sexual revolution occurred, the women's rights did not, meaning that women are free sexually but are still housewives, cannot have jobs, and are subject to domestic abuse. Tech levels (at least based around magic) are around the level of modern RU42-automobiles and computers are all magicbased. Enough Soon:Reject Universe #48

Any universe where unicorns are the base of the food chain is all right in my mind!

Heheh. Reject Universe #48 In RU48, gas giants are dominant. In fact, there are no stars or planets, just gas giants that consume others through gravity to become increasingly bigger. Creatures either live in the gases or float on the top of them. Humans float on the top of a red gas giant called Gabinjit VII (The number refers to how many gas giants it has consumed.). Floating disk-cities are home to humans. Position in society depends on how well your stories are taken. Stories that are of the "There was a little girl. Then she died" variety will most likely get you a ditchdigger position, or worse, (the worst position in society, actually, is rather surprising-Mate of the King/Queen. The only thing is, it isn't a mate like a spouse. It's a "I whip you until you mate with me, then lock you in your dingy cell until you need food to live, and then let you out again to mate with me under force of whip". You get to be a King or Queen if you turn out to be the next Homer or J K Rowling. Incidentally, most of the people on this forum would probably be Mayors. Wildlife An animal that looks something like a legged stapler with bug-compound eyes exists in the position of a rat. Lots of fish (the fish have eyestalks, by the way) of different sizes swim in the gas. Some are merely nibblers, nibbling at the toes of humans unwise enough to put their feet in the water. Yet others are called Fauxnibblers, sharks sized organisms with a toungue designed to simulate the touch of a nibbler, making people think nothing is wrong until *CHOMP* the person is in the Fauxnibbler's stomach. An extremely rare thing is called a Collosus, an enormous fish large enough to eat an entire city, though typically it only eats cities when it mistakes them for its prey, an enormous floating mammal called a Flatfloater. And Next:Reject Universe #50 And More.

A literacy based meritocracy. Nice. When are the judgements made, or can you move up if you get better at storytelling?

If you are judged as being really terrible on your first story, you become a mate of the king/queen and can nevermove up. Otherwise, you can move up or down at any time.
