"Hello, mosquitoes. I would happen to dislike you for making half the crew go away, but, anyway... Don't tell them that. We were going to build an embassy here." said Karen.

"She says they're trying to build an embassy here."
Wanderer looked at the remaining crew. He (she?) could only spot Karen, Dr. Onis, and Dethy, doing the usual.

"How do you build it so fast?" After a translation: "With men. We had them leave when we started diplomacy with you. And they're ours, no you can't use them."

Wanderer relayed this to the RU2'er, but his (her?) mind was elsewhere. It hadn't been the first time he'd (she'd?) been asked about his (her?) origins, and every time it was brought up, it made him (her?) think.
Just where the heck had he (she?) come from? The memories all started at a single point, in some backwater timeline in the vast branch of the multiverse that was Plain 9. He'd stuck around there for most of his travels, since it felt like home to him...

((No, you cannot establish yourself as an Insert-level being. It does not make any sense from one point of view and is offensive at another. He is of the Figmentian race.)) After a bit of discussion, the tribe left. They would come back later, but for now they were more interested in the anual Mating War. In a short moment, the male tribe came over. "From what foreignty do you come where even the heads are of the female gender?"

((He doesn't even know that Insert or his universe even exists. As you may have noted, he has no clue that the RU's are artificial. Wanderer simply refuses to meddle in the affairs of "gods". He finds lowlier beings far more interesting, and nowhere near as stuck up. He is not omnipotent in any way. He has only mild telepathy. There can only be one of him at any one time or place. He's not in the habit of leaving himself messages from the future. His only real power is that he can visit any timeline he wants to.
He did once create a tiny pocket universe with assistance, but it was nothing compared to what Insert is doing.
If you want more information, there's some up in the H'qur, Salbin, Tolan thread in this board. Wanderer is a Salbin, one of only two ever encountered.

"We come from very far away, a place called Roo Fourtytwo."

"And why is this place called such? Please do not be similar to our opressors, we pray."

"Okay... We call our world Descentia for similar reasons. Would you be willing to help us unopress ourselves?"

"I suppose so. I'm not sure if we're allowed to mess with the natives, so I'm not making any promises."

"Good, good, good! We will tell you our story." He did. "Sounds great!" shouted Dethy. "Dethy, please stop speaking." said Karen.

"So, are we allowed to meddle in the affairs of the natives? Or do you have some sort of First Contact Protocol or Prime Directive in place?" Wanderer asked Karen.

"We're allowed to meddle, but not to directly fight. That's more for our safety than for anything else, though."

"Our personal moral policy is to give them just what they need. Like, there wasn't any gunpowder in Roo-One, so we gave them muskets. That means that they quite easily can win that war. So, here we give them some of our more primitive laser guns, made easily obsolete by our death guns."
