A while ago, a friend approached me via PM and asked that I help bring his old Spore site back to life, and to help moderate it. I said sure, of course.
My first act was to try and spark an RP community. They allready had a board for it, but not one person had posted in it thus far. I started by making a thread to test the waters, asking any possible lurkers if they'd be interested in an RP. The only response was from my friend, suggesting that I start one as an example.
I then posted up an RP guide, taken almost word for word from Patman's and Daxx's over at GamingSteve (with credit given of course). This was in the form of three long posts; one for the basics of making an RP, one for some general RP rules, and one aimed at Spore RP's. My friend suggested that I put up some examples for people who didn't want to read the above rules.
I obliged, and posted links to several GS Spore RP's, such as the Battle of Thrishen, The Communicant Invasion, and the Galactic Senate. Still nothing. Old members would occasionally stop by, but no more. People were registering, but not posting.
Then, out of either desperation or sheer boredom, I created the Schizophrenic RP that you see in my sig.
It's several posts in, currently, and I suppose it serves as an example for newbies. I think it'll actually scare them off, since the posts are pretty good sized.
Anyway, if you want to read it, go ahead. If you want to join it, go ahead. If you want to laugh at this insanity, go ahead.
