The slow growth egg suddenly went into hyperdrive, nearly growing multiple folds faster than it was. Within a few seconds, it would soon hatch.

"Maybe that bit about the farm was more likely than I thought..."
The enclosure was allready sealed, and nothing short of an EMP blast or instant teleportation would let anything get out.

A tiny blood-red... blob... Emerged. Almost immediately, it shape-shifted into a four-legged creature with a number of eyes, and looked around, turning its body with it as it rotated.

Now that the thing was fully developed, Wanderer scanned it again. As the data was processed, he attempted some basic communication with the creature.
From the blob's point of view, Wanderer appeared as another blob, though a bit mysterious looking. He waved.

The four-legged creature reacted hostily, firing the equivalent of a mental freight train at Wanderer's mind. It had quite the amount of psychic strength, as opposed to the regular Majaag's lack of psychic strength, but with a huge amount of physical strength.

Wanderer, though slightly stunned by the attack, it wasn't bad at all. He normally operated on a low level of psychic sensitivity, blocking out all but the strongest signals. He didn't usually "open up" to his full sensitivity, as the resulting cacophony of every mind within several thousand light years was something he did not enjoy sorting through. Though all the messages would be weak, the trillions upon trillions would all build on each other, quickly reaching his limit. With the "white noise" filtered out, he could handle far more than what most other telepathic races could.
He decided to reply in turn with a blast of equal strength. He was nowhere near as capable at broadcasting as he was at receiving as far as brute force was concerned. His signals played on the mind subtly, and he could keep them up for as long as he wanted with no conscious effort.

The Majaag four-legged creature opened a fifth eye that was pitch black, a directed transmitter of sorts. It simply shrugged off Wanderer's reply, and then threw an extremely 'high pitch' sound into Wanderer's head, possibly to drive him crazy.

The telepathic whine was supremely annoying, but not much else.
"I can keep up with this all day long, bubbly."
Wanderer threw back a simmilar telepatic scream, but dissapeared from view as he concentrated solely on keeping the pitch even.

With Wanderer's attention averted, the creature kept its scream going, but slowly began to psychicly tear apart the wall behind it in a gambit to escape the confines of its prison, and contain the sound so as not to alert Wanderer.

Had Wanderer still been connected to the ship, he would have been alerted as soon as the wall had begun to break down. Instead, the Angalesh on the bridge recieved the message.
//Wanderer? Are you doing something to the wall down there? The ship says it's falling apart.//
He ceased his psychic broadcast and asked them to repeat the message louder.

Had the creature been able to talk, one could say it almost went, " He he he. " It broke the wall, and quickly tried to escape through it. Possibly directly into a forcefield that it would force a hole into. He knew the jig might already be up, but he had to try.

There was indeed a forcefield between it and the inner section of wall, protecting the wiring, sensors, and environmental controls from any raging creature that happened to break through the outer half. Beyond the inner section was another forcefield, then the outer half of the adjacent enclosure.
Wanderer finaly got the message, and walked into the creature's enclosure. He was confident that the forcefield would stop it, but was ready just in case.

Thinking outside the enclosure, the creature used memory in its genes from its parent to begin making a wormhole, through which it would leave the ship altogether. This took a lot of energy, and so it was totally focused on performing the task.

Wanderer recognised the warp forming, and, since it was small and local, began slowing it's growth dramatically. Without the annoying buzz in his mind, the wormhole creation process was soon at a standstill.

This act frustrated the creature, which quickly punctured the forcefield, and began to tear through the wall after that. It jumped into the hole, and reconnected the first wall to keep Wanderer away.
