The lightening hit the magma, and splashed it, but did not really do anything.

Another tilt of the head, options were concidered... With several quick motions of it's hands, it lifted a wall of rock around itself and pushed it outward against the magma.

It simply was melted and consumed into the magma.

More concideration, and a few more hisses and grunts... The figure began drawing heat from the magma in an attept to solidify it.

It seemed to create heat every time heat was drawn away from it. It would become slightly colder, than heat up again. In essense their combined efforts created heat. The figure caught on fire from this newfound heat.

It merely glanced at it, and it was snuffed out in a puff of smoke. What little frustration the being could feel was now boiling to the surface as it rapidly launched, pushed, and raised rocks, metal, and any other material it could lay it's invisible hands on at the mass.

They all melted into it.

The figure bellowed furiously, it's voice a bizarrely harmonic mix of both screeches and howls. It reached out for the magma with it's invisible hands and proceeded to shove it, like it had with the sphere.

It shaped around where he had made the sheild of sorts. Unfortunately, at that moment the magma detected him. With a pop sound, magma began appearing within the figure, in its innards.

The figure howled at the heat and pushed the offending magma out of itself. Black fluid gushed out of the "wound", but it merely flowed back to the figure and was reabsorbed. The figure opened a chasm in the ground and began mentally shoving the magma in.

Though the magma did enter the hole, it seemed as though more appeared to replace it.

The figure was infuriated. It had just one more trick up it's proverbial sleeves before it would have to admit defeat.
It captured some of the magma and began crushing it down to a small ball. As the ball got smaller and smaller, it would capture more of the magma to feed it.

Unfortunately, new magma formed consistently to replace the magma crushed into the ball.

The figure simply continued it's work. As the density of the ball increased, so did it's gravity. Soon, it weighed several tons, then several hundred tons. Fortunately, the figure did not run out of magma to pour into it's developing black hole.

When the black hole formed, the magma began forming at an enormous rate to respond to it. The rate began overtaking it, and within minutes the previous planet covered in magma had become a star-sized thing mostly made of magma. The figure was deep inside it.
