"Hello from the Leg-people! We mean you no harm! We are only exporers! We only wish to learn!"
Both sides heard this equally well, and the name brought some looks of confusion from the expediotion.
"Their term, not ours."
Again, perfectly understandable by both groups.

They still looked moderately suspicious, but ushered the explorers into a tent in the center of the village. A man on an intensely bright-colored space hopper said something. Wanderer understood it to mean "From where do you come, leg-people?".

"They want to know were we're from."
"Tell them we're from far away!" "No, from Roo Fourtytwo!" "From the palace in the sky!"
Confused, Wanderer looked to the Captain.

"We are from a place not like your own at all, a distance from your own unimaginable to you. It is called "Roo Fourtywo, though we do not know why."

"We come from insanely far away, so far away, that it is very different from here, as you can see from the way they move..." He motioned to his fellow crewmates. "It's a place called Roo Fourtytwo."

The leader spoke, again. Wanderer understood it as "If you are from so far away, how did you get here? How are we assured that you are not devils, demons from the very air? We did not see you come here. If you can get here, presumably you can take us back. Bring one of our men there and bring him back convinced it is not Hell and you will have our trust."

"They want us to prove we're not using evil magic to get here by bringing one of their men to Roo Fourtytwo and back."
"Oh, boy..." groaned Dr. South, fearing the worst...

Man said "Are they @$@#ing kidding? Oh well. Tell him to show us this scout of theirs."

"Who do you wish to send?"
Martin and several other members of the expedition hoped that this wouldn't become the norm for their explorations. They weren't a tour service!

The Leader bounced into the tribe's streets and selected a younger person writing on what appeared to be a blanket. "This is Bhinet. He is a philosopher in training. Bring him."

"They want him. His name is Bhinet, and he's training to be a philosopher."
To Bhinet, Wanderer said, "Lucky you, you get to be the first of your people to see our home, Roo Fourtytwo. If you'll just come with us."

Bhinet said "The implications of this are enormous for my people. I quite frankly think that our leader was shortsighted. If you are demons, holy war. Otherwise, you can fight the Sevvel oppressors or maybe do more with the skills that brought you here." Dethy asked "Why don't any of these people speak English?"

Ignoring Dethy while the others delt with her, Wanderer translated.
"This will have big reprocussions. If they're convinced we're demons, they go to war with us. If they like what they see, they want us to help them against the Sevvel. They've been opressing them. That, or help them out some other way."
"Wait, there's more than one tribe?" Calvin asked.
"Are the Sevvel another tribe?" he asked Bhinet.

"Yes," said Bhinet. "They enslave our people, and those from the peaceful hunting Cappik tribe. One member of our tribe is orphaned because they pillaged his tribe. He is Bovit, very young now."

"They're another tribe, a bunch of jerk-faces, too. Sound like your typical slavemasters. They've pillaged this tribe in recent history, leaving at least one member an orphan. We've also got another, more peaceful tribe, Cappik. I hope you all are taking notes."
"Ask them what their tribe is." said Calvin, who was indeed busy taking notes.
"What is the name of this tribe?"
