"Well, yeah. It doesn't take an education to know that spear means spear maker."
"Unless you happen to be Dethy..." muttered Martin under his breath. This brought a few snickers from the group.

Fredrick Saw looked across the landscape. "This doesn't make any sense," he said. "My equipment is still trying to load a complete radar image of the planet. It's been trying for the last few hours. It mapped Earth in less than ten seconds. Either this planet is REALLY big or something funky is going on."

"Let me feel it out..."
Wanderer promptly dissapeared, along with any sensor readings that allerted computers to his presence.
Several moments passed... then he reappeared.
"This place is infinite. It goes on forever... Doesn't even wrap around as far as I can see... Must have been a real pain to make this huge..."

"So it's infinite... and it's flat? That's a pain. I'll have to do this the old fashioned way." He marked various ditches and hills with his stylus onto his computer screen.
"So... are we going to explore?" John Grintuaei said.

"Aye. Onward and upward!"
With that, Wanderer began to march off into the distance, then stopped and checked if the others were going to follow.

(Sorry, was at the beach.)
Carl wheeled up to the dead worm, and politely greeted it. //Hello, Patricia!//
After he awaited a response, something he usually only did with inanimate objects (explanation ftw), he forgot what he was doing, and decided to continue exploring.
He wheeled around, and started to follow the Wanderer. as he did so, he examined the item he took from the ship, which was stored precariously inside his cargo box.
//It is a fish//, his sensors unanimously agreed. //A remote-shaped fish...//

"I think that we should look for the thing that made this spear. I mean, it seems like it would be the most dangerous thing, and the thing that would be most interesting to the US." Man Deth said. ----- In the distance, Miviua, Pillose, saw strangers. She ran back to her tribe and alerted the leader. They seemed absolutely anomalous, as, even from a distance, it could be told that they had no space hoppers. How they moved was new to them.

"Right. Who's got the binoculars or electroscopes or whatever the heck you call them."
To this, Dr. South raised his hand.
"Well, use them, Bubbly! I can't even lift the darned things..."
Dr. South began scanning the horizon. He then stopped and pointed.
"Hey! I've found something! Someone sitting on a large, round object... Organic."

"Someone? What do they look like? Let me see." He took the binoculars. "Oh my god... they're human.... the chances of that are astronomical", Man said. "Aren't all intelligent life human?" Dethy said. "Look over here and then kick yourself." John Grintuaie said.

"Of course, the real question is if all humans are intellegent life." said Dr. Onis. "Did we happen to bring the translator?"
"You mean me?"
"What do you mean you?"
"I don't speak any specific language, 99% of it is subconscious anyway."

"How do we get their attention? They seem to be going away." said Man Deth. "I think we DID get their attention. That's why they're going away." said the Captain. "Wanderer- please translate for use when we get there."

"Certainly. Best part about using me as a translator is I can't mangle your words without you hearing."
The expedition began to move off towards the people on the horizon.

As they ran after them, they finally came to a village of buildings. All the people were on balls, with organic and dull horns sticking out. They all gasped. Though none else could hear, Wanderer heard "The leg-men! The leg-men! They move their legs! The leg-men! Are they of good or evil intention? We must find out! Take them to the leader!"

To the villagers, Wanderer was the least out of ordinary among the group, looking to them like another ball-hopper such as themselves, although still transparent and glowing.
"They're wondering if we're good or bad, and want to take us to their leader. Aparently your form of locomotion is an oddity to them."
"What do you mean by 'your'?" asked Calvin, slightly offended.
"Good sir, I move in 11 dimentions. You can barely move in two without assistance. No offence, but it's the facts."

"Without assistance? THEY need assistance. Look at what they're wearing on their... I should be diplomatic. I'm a diplomat. OK. Tell them that we want to know where their leader is." Bovit had come out and was among the crowd. He wondered who these people were.
