Final Fall: Skyscape

Ragged, battle scarred, and tired from the Tiros wars, the humans of Fall made their way up into the North, a barren land filled with ash and wyrms.

Standing upon the barren land, they declared, “Never again! Never shall those of sand and dust harm us! Never shall the great behemoths of Earth defeat us! From henceforth, we stop running, and we stand our ground! From this moment onward, we rise into the sky, and dominate both this land and the secrets of the universe! We will return one day, and build a citadel upon the very ground where the Tirona fell! We will conquer the very forces which govern the universe!”

And with that, they built and planned; researched and discovered. They churned the landscape with factories and mines built out of sheer determination. And on the 599th year of their defiance, a magnificent iron city rose into the air, the very force of its engines turning the ground below it into dust!


The city of Golgotha. A massive construct of iron and steel, its builders used about 200 million tons of material to build it. It stays in the air through the massive power generated by its engines. It is powered by the Source, silicon particles fused to a state similar to the sun’s surface, and uses the same power which kept the Tirona moving.

The land of Skyscape is barren, cold, and has the fertility of a block of arsenic. Therefore, most of the people of Skyscape relied on commerce to provide them with necessities, and eventually luxuries.


This is the basic transport of Skyscape. It has room for five people, can fly up to twice the length of Golgotha without having to turn back for refueling, and can go about as fast as a speedboat.

The ship in the middle is called a Guardian. About the size of the Hidenburg, these babies can reach speeds similar to those of an airplane, but due to it only being able to go twenty times farther than a Sunsail, many preferred to use lower speeds.


The fastest ship of all, Arach’s pride is a flagship of Arracha, the second city of Skyscape. It can fly four times farther than a sunsail, and is twice as big as one.


Quote from Exodus: “Humans are resilient. What they cannot jump over, they chop down. When they cannot outrun the sun, they build a vessel fast enough. Even without their abilities, humans can rule the world one day.”

Note: Remember the past tense. Due to some unknown event in the past, all what remains is the huge flying cities, a few spires in lava, and the motionless husks of people who where crystallized when the event occurred.

The great behemoths known as the Tirona emerged from the sandy wastelands on the east side of Fall and promptly began annihilating anything that moved (Except glowglubs).
They were impervious to heat, cold, water, imprisonment, attack, defence, telemarketers, and practically anything in between. Eventually they crossed Hereid Ocean and started to ravage the other realms.

Their method of attack was unique. When angered, they would raise their arm into the sky, and a deep noise would emanate from their chest. This action would cause a celestial body, from comets, meteors, solar flares, and even the moon, to fall down upon their foe. Ouch!

At first, people were unaware of the Tirona, for they were few. But with each sky-reach the beasts grew larger and more powerful. The Aveshevir were happy with the developments, because the chaos made travelling from host to host without notice much easier. But as the number of available hosts dwindled, they started to panic. Also around that time, a group of beings known as Travelars started to help the beleagured Fall island to battle the Tirona at their source. Thus began the Tiros wars.

Imagine the scene: Human-like beings that could throw boulders and lift houses, and those possesed by the Aveshevir, fighting against the intimidating stone beings before them. Now picture mile-long chunks of rock falling all over the place.
How did they win, you ask?

Sources are unclear, but the general concensus is that everyone just gave up and built a big wall around the source of the Tirona, which for some reason de-animated the stone collosii.

Quote from First Human (Just a title): "You see...when confronted with a powerful foe, build a wall around him...if he is more powerful, build a larger wall. The world will be at peace when a sky-high wall is built around it."

The only place where Skyscape touches the Tiros wall, as it is known, is Tironacha (Tee-ron-aka), the sphere of influence around the city by the same name. (Sphere of influence is determined by how far the fastest ship can travel). Many have tried to scale it, but it has just resulted in a huge pile of Sunsail wrekage at the base of the wall.

Below is a picture of Tiros, the most powerful of the Tirona. He nearly brought down the moon, but the wall had been build just in time. He was the only one that seemed to use some vestige of thought and reason, and exasperated the Shevir and the Travelars by cunningly evading their traps.
