" Fine, the Majaag's technology is sophisticated enough to match anything the Quroche have thought of, or soon will be. Soon they'll likely be time traveling, and destroying life before it ever gets started. " It smirked its mouth at the puny Wanderer.

"Firstly, I'll be there in case that happens, along with anyone I bring from any alternate timeline. I know some rather dangerous people. Secondly, we've been working on upgrading the AC-virus and our transmitter."

" Utterly useless against them now, just so you know. Same thing with me. Both the C-Virus and AC-Virus were rendered useless the moment you fired the AC-Virus. They got some serious genetic damage outside the primary transmitter range. " The creature shrugged, and changed into a tiny humanoid form, " And no short jokes. "

"Which is why we've located how the virus killed the Majaag. We're planning on capturing that probe hovering outside the system to get an updated genetic map, so we can design a similar agent."

" Won't work you know. Majaag might be damaged, but they're still d**ned smart. Not as smart as me, but still quite intelligent. The probe will just warp away back to the main Majaag area. They still transform themselves, especially into ships, but doing so is suicidal, unless they keep their primary brain intact inside the ship. If one is dumb enough to make that mistake, they become a flying vegetable, and they never use such morons for probe creation. They're limited to construction equipment. "

"So they must have a central brain to function properly... Thank you, you've just eliminated the need for a genetic map."
He walked to a nearby console to send that bit of info down the corridor to the genetics labs. It took him several minutes to puch out the basics of the message, as his fingers kept slipping though the screen instead of pressing against it.
"We need to get another reciever..."

" Too bad, I'm taken. Now where's my ship? I need a ship. " The humanoid looked at the console.

"Follow me."He led him down to a shuttle bay, conspicuously devoid of Quroche craft, instead filled with Angalesh transports. He picked one out, larger and bulkier than the others. "We've decked this one out with the same FTL as the ship. Only thing faster in the sector is a Majaag craft, but as far as we know, this one is more maneuverable. Weaponry has been added as well, including a slightly less powerful version of the Devastator's main cannon. The original was designed for orbital bombardment, but we've made this one for ship to ship. There's also an experimental cloaking device, based on false sensor broadcasting, but it's untested...
In general, the only thing better for destroying Majaag is the ship you're standing in."((BTW, isn't it ironic we have an add for eating disorder treatment on this thread ))

" Don't need weapons. I'll just hit them with a bit of psychic rending force, and their cells will explode. Like organic fireworks really. "

"Ah. Well then, I suppose you wouldn't mind taking one of the regular shuttles? We may yet need the new craft here."

" Fine then, but I'd rather get moving along soon. The extinction of the old Majaag is in order. "

Wanderer led him to a small, unarmed Quroche recon craft and sent him on his way. Assured that he was out of the hangar safely, he headed back to the bridge to track the ship.

The ship almost immediately took off in the direction of the farthest star from the edge of the galaxy. " What a fool. Doesn't he realize the new Majaag will be even more powerful? "

After watching the craft leave the range of the sensors, Wanderer turned to Iniros, appointed Captain of the Quroche ship.
"I'm going to try to dig up some sort of defence against these fellows... mostly by poring over the data we gathered on this... Neomajaag to coin a term. Maybe contact a few favors of mine for imput. In short, you're mostly on your own for the next few days. Stay on your toes."
With that, he left for one of the abandoned Genetics Labs to bring up the data.

After just a day, the entirety of the Majaag had been consumed by the Neo-Majaag(as coined by Greivi). The Neo-Majaag were entirely immune to any form of Crusader Virus. However, being heavily psionic, they could still communicate in one massive group, but still function outside of it.
